The courses and modules within the ACHIEVE System for Special Education (ages 3-21) will provide professional learning opportunities delivered in real time, in-person instruction, and/or via Zoom. They may also include modeling and practicing the components outlined in the ACHIEVE User Guide in greater depth. Professional Learning may also include a focus on best practices.
This training is for new special education teachers and includes the following:
"How to" Basics of ACHIEVE
-Logging in, live site, guided sandbox demonstration, and PLS.
Developing Quality IEPs and Best Practices: Understanding the Five Phases of the IEP:
-Know the expectations for setting goals re: FAPE
-Identify the special considerations and statement of concern required for developing an IEP
-Understand student skill needs prior to developing a goal (Current Level of Academic
Achievement and Functional Performance)
-Describe the different options for graphing and progress monitoring
-Recognize the importance of and employ data based decision making
-Connect the Current Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance to the Services + and documentation
