This course is restricted to district teacher leaders that are participating in the Iowa Teacher Leader Support System (TLSS) or the Iowa Teacher Induction Collaborative.
This course supports instructional coaches and mentors and provides the knowledge, skills, and tools to maximize the impact of district and site-based coaches on both teaching practice and student learning. Coaches in this series use NTC’s Formative Assessment and Support System (FAS) of research-based tools, protocols, and resources to assess and advance teaching practice. In addition, coaches use professional coaching standards to self-assess their own practice, set short and long-term goals, and analyze progress. This course builds a strong, committed community of learners who support each other’s growth as coaches.
