GW - Cold Connection Jewelry: No Flame Needed
Sep 2025 - Amana Arts Guild - Jewelry - LR and Grad Credit Offered

This graduate-level course explores the fundamentals of wireworking and cold connection techniques for crafting wearable jewelry. Designed for artists, educators, and creative professionals, the course emphasizes the development of technical proficiency in wire wrapping, crimping, and design innovation. Participants will create a repertoire of 8–12 wire working samples and 2–3 functional jewelry pieces while exploring practical strategies for teaching these techniques in a classroom setting.

Through hands-on practice, students will investigate the versatility of fire-free methods, enabling them to create jewelry in any environment while ensuring accessibility and safety. The course integrates art pedagogy, focusing on adapting wireworking for various educational contexts and skill levels. Whether pursuing jewelry-making as an artistic medium or as a teaching tool, this course equips participants with essential skills to inspire creativity and self-expression in themselves and their students.
