MISD Only: Strategies for Complex Learners'' Success

This course is exclusively for Marion Independent Schools and will be facilitated by a GWAEA consultant. Educators supporting students with significant cognitive delays and complex learning needs will explore and apply evidence-based strategies to advance communication and literacy skills in classroom and virtual settings.

Participants will engage in microcredentials, presented by the consultant, that align with essential elements of the K-12 core standards. These strategies are tailored to students with limited letter recognition, participation in shared reading or writing, and communication abilities.

This course is designed for teachers serving students on the Iowa Alternate Assessment or Alternate ELPA.
