This workshop is designed to provide an overview of the Critical Data Matrix (Steven Gill) for staff and building teams that support students identified as English Learners. The workshop will share critical data that is needed to identify whether K-12 students identified as English Learners should be considered for interventions and/or evaluations due to academic or socioemotional concerns. Participants will work with peers to complete a decision-making matrix with student examples to increase their knowledge of the impact of students'' cultural and linguistic backgrounds in their education.
